It's Warmer, Horray!

Ok, ok, I know it is on abou 40 degrees out there, but it feels like SUMMER! Does anyone else have a renewed energy to get out there and do some things? It is like a breath of fresh air- yesterday I literally opened the door and stood in the doorway because the air was so refreshing... gosh, HOW long until spring? :)

The Stowaway National Award winning imagery! This limited edition features an antique, old fashioned look with authentic cargo packing crates and your child in simple clothing as a child hidden among the cargo. Vintage Bathtime Another award-winning set! This set features a vintage washbasin of bubbles, classic pearls, and the feeling of an old fashioned, nostalgic bath time. Recommended for infants (must be sitting up well!) to age 7. Maximum of 3 children in set.



Just Like Dad! Dress your son or daughter up- just like dad! Step into the studio and let us create a mini-adult portrait! No matter what Dad does for a living- play it up! There's nothing better than playing dress up- and who better to dress up as than the most important guy in their lives- DAD! All ages- infants must be sitting up well.




Porcelain Dolls Those that have daughters know - we love our little dolls! This Limited Edition features images of our daughters dressed in classic white, with a classic white set. The simplicy of this set is just beautiful, and nothing is better than the simple things in life! Be prepared - you can choose to have your images in black and white also!




Santa's Boots A new twist on a Holiday Favorite! Your son or daughter, captured just at the right time, as they accept a gift from their favorite - Santa! Featuring a beautiful display of holiday decor, you see the boots, you see the red pants, and you see your child's expression! Watch for this one! You don't want to miss it! Recommended for infants (must be sitting up well) to children up to age 4.

Imaging USA!

This past week I had the opportunity to attend a national convention of Professional Photographers of America, and not only attended, but was a featured speaker for one of the most prestigous processing labs in the United States- Millers Professional Imaging.

It was such a wonderful experience to be a representative and featured speaker, above is an image a great friend took during one of my presentations. Also, I have attached a short video clip of a couple of our Millers representatives, where one of my senior storybooks was also shown. AWESOME! VIDEO

Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy New Year!!

As the middle of January approaches, I extend to you my heartfelt thank you for allowing Studio J to be a part of your lives. As I spend time with each of you, creating images for you, I want you to know how special it is for me to be a part of that! Your images will be around for such a long time, and to know I was there to do this for you is so humbling.

This is going to be a BIG year for Studio J !! This year, in addition to our senior and family portrait line, we are also introducing Studio J Kids ! Did you know we photograph kids too?! As a mother of 4 children of my own and 2 stepchildren as well- this photographer has EXPERIENCE! Believe me!!!

In all seriousness, though, as our youngest child, now 3, grows, I miss those babies!! And as much as you moms with young babies live with slobber on your shoulders- wishing for a clean shirt, I welcome it! Your children are only young once, and capturing them is a way that helps you to remember them, as they are, is of the utmost importance. For when it is all said and done, and they are grown and gone, it's the images and memories that last forever.

Oh, WOW! The holidays are right around the corner!!

I didn't realize it has been so long since I had posted!! The studio recently hosted a get together for some wonderful friends that flew in from Nebraska. They were here to photograph a wedding of a long term client in the Pontiac area, which I heard was just a BEAUTIFUL wedding. It was great to have them here and to show them a bit of Illinois hospitality, as well as Illinois snow (as if it is different, but you never know!).

I had a FUN FUN session recently- which highlighted this cute little lady with the curly black hair. Isn't Molly just the sweetest, and so well dressed?!

Thank you to everyone that came to our open house this weekend. We JUST MISSED the bad weather! It was so great seeing you, meeting new faces and being able to get to know everyone even more.
