Hello Baby Faye!

Today I met baby Faye, the baby of Renee that I posted previously in her maternity portraits. Faye is the sweetest little gal with a head full of soft brown hair. What a precious baby...!!! It was a treat to have her Daddy there today also- he had taken some time off to be with mom and baby.

Here is a sneak peek of one of my favorites from the session today. It is not a traditional image- and let me tell you why I love it-

Every newborn is so precious and TINY- so helpless. As much as we love images of their little faces, tiny fingers and sleepy eyes- this particular image represents that helplessness and the strength and reliability in the hands that care for us. As you look at this image, let that thought previal- the strength that holds us.

Illinois Senior Photographer of the Year 2007!

Jackie was recently awarded the elite designation of Illinois Senior Photographer of the Year for 2007 at the recent convention of the Associated Professional Photographers of Illinois. Not only did Jackie receive this top honor, but one of her senior folios (a body of work from a senior portrait session) was also awarded the Senior's Choice award by a group of local High School Seniors as their choice of the best folio in the competition, and an additional folio was awarded the best folio of a senior girl by a panel of photographic judges.

Jackie Haggerty was recently featured in Professional Photographer Magazine, an international publication and highly regarded magazine within the photographic community. The feature article showcased images of local area high school seniors and the senior photography style Jackie has come to be known for within the Bloomington-Normal area.
